Every 100 years, there is an international fighting tournament; the winner is crowned Shogun, ruler of the world. An ancient organization known as the White Tiger Force chose a young martial artist by the name of Raizen Ohara to receive training under Lan se; to become a dragon warrior. Only the genuinely gifted - the few who are born with the ability to become terrifyingly powerful, can become a dragon warrior. Lan se resides in a wandering island, and the only way to find him is by using an artifact known as the Dragon Compass.
